It’s Time to Sell those Pancake Tickets!

It’s Time to Sell those Pancake Tickets! Pancake Days has been our primary fundraiser for the past 64 years and this April 11 – 13 will be no different, except we’ll raise more $$ than ever! Right? Everyone is needed to help sell tickets. Where can you eat breakfast for only $7.00? It is an easy sell as this is a well-known event and is supported by our community. You just have to ask. We’ll have a silent auction and a drawing for an electric bicycle along with the great breakfast. Can’t eat pancakes – on a diet? No excuses just buy a ticket to help a child.

Focus on Membership

Welcome new members Kathryn & Gary Hart. A husband-and-wife team sponsored by Ron Shover (a new member himself). Remember you can ask your relatives to be a Kiwanian!

Where does the fundraising money go?

So far this year, we’ve spent $6,123 on our Service Leadership Programs for Conventions, Free Little Libraries, Dues, and general support of these clubs that build leadership qualities in our youth.

Next, we have supported various agencies with mini grants totaling $2,271 for Downs Syndrome, Music Association, Law Assistance, Drama Depts and Athletic Leagues. Another $1,184 has gone to support youth worldwide through our International and State Foundations.

Our Kiwanis Board of Directors is made up of 6 officers and 9 directors elected by the general membership every year. The purpose of the Board is to handle the day-to-day operation of our club, decide on grant requests and projects, and accept members into the club.
